DIY Embroidery Box

Yeah, i can finally share these oh so cool kits... I have been working on these awesome do it yourself embroidery boxes for a while now and this week they came together! How cute!
They come in 2 sizes, neatly packed into a box. It also includes a wooden embroidery hoop (4" or 5"), a square of cross stitch fabric ( white or natural), a shade of grey cotton embroidery thread, a needle, a how to booklet with instructions and tips with 4 patterns to choose from (patterns should be finalized tomorrow).
The perfect gift for a crafty girlfriend or even a clueless crafter! Also a cute and affordable idea for a craft night with the ladies!

my other suprise parcel

Ok, So last week i admitted how much i love a post office visit, but completely forgot to brag my lovely pincushion I got. I participated in a pincushion swap, the lovely ladies of Sew Far Sew Good and House of Pinheiro organised a pincushion swap, what a lovely idea and event to be part of.
i was lucky enough to get a pincushion all the way from Canada from the lovely Tara from Sew Tara, with a lovely handwritten letter as well as 2 stunning fridge magnets.
Thanks ladies for organizing and thanks Tara for my lovely pincushion.

Love Lolla interview in Leef Magazine

looks like i forgot to post this...oops!! a while ago Leef Magazine (afrikaans magazines, sorry international people) did a little feature of me and my baba Love Lolla...

pretty parcels...oh how i love

OK, admittedly, there are very many things that excite me, but one of my favorites is still going to the post office, weather it is sending or collecting parcels or letters...today i was lucky enough to collect 3 (yes three) parcels...the one was lovely merino wool from Jeffreys...the other was a gift from Canada (will elaborate on this in the next post) and thirdly a pretty parcel of Wahsi tape.
last week i stumbled upon Paper Peony and gosh i was in LOVE!! Paper Peony is a stationary design studio based in Stellenbosch I immediately had to order me some washi tape and the awesome owner Cathy Kruger instantly responded to my query (whilst she was on holiday on a game farm) and today I collected these beauties...look at the packaging, what gets me even more excited is when a parcel is wrapped nicely (bonus points), but a handwritten note gets a gold star from me!!
